Animation is very good, although not in the same way that Suzumiya Haruhi's is. It's more cartoony and less realistic, which works very well for this kind of show. There's no point in complaining about lack of bokeh (out-of-focus blur). Hey, apparently that word originates from Japanese word "boke." Heh.
Story is fairly childish and straightforward. That doesn't say whether it's good or bad, of course. If you don't like stories targetted at children, you probably won't find this all that interesting. Assuming the good animation quality isn't just an exception for the first episode, I believe I can enjoy this series.
First pressing comes with playing cards (trump): Jack of Hearts (Futaba), Queen of Hearts (Kazumi), and King of Hearts (Gargoyle). It's a cute joke putting Kazumi on Queen card. Unless they're planning to release over 17 volumes, I don't see how we'll get a complete deck. By the way, I think Futaba's Mom should be the Ace of Hearts.
I wonder if Kazumi can see Iyo-chan's ~pants~. It's probably okay, since he's ~okama~ according to Futaba-chan {^_^;}
Futaba, Gargoyle, and Kazumi (Saitou Chiwa, Wakamoto Norio, and Miyata Kouki)
Amane, Iyo, and Hyakushiki (Kikuchi Masami, Kuwashima Houko, and Chiba Susumu)
