Comments:
I can see why this series is so special to so many old-time otaku.
Unfortunately, I don't feel that way about the series. It is definitely good,
but I feel like I'm too old for this. The animation feels slightly dated
although they're very carefully done.
Technically, it is excellent considering the age of the master they used.
Image1 shows most of the problems in one small section of a frame. There are
rainbowing all over the place and slight luminance leakage common in composite
video. It's pretty darn good compared to all the other DVDs I've seen that
come from composite master. Well, Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou probably has better
sharpness but with more noise.
Image2 shows more rainbowing, but what I really wanted to show you is the
lively animation. Just look at those eyes. You can't compare this kind of
wonderful animation to something dreadful like Love Hina animation.
