Yeah, that whole earthling dude thing is stupid, but it's not as bad
as the "enemy" in Gatekeepers. Besides, I think I realized what makes
Vandread an entertaining piece of work. It's a mix of sentai
(power-ups and big finale) and lovable character anime. I doubt there
will be too many people claiming how great the story is, especially
that of the 2nd stage, but you know what? When you feel stressed out,
watching the big battle on the last disc of either the original
Vandread or this Vandread II would do you good. At least that's how I
feel.
