Comments:
Ultra Maniac is one of those anime that I classify as "pointless
shoujo." It's something you watch on TV while chewing on your cereal,
rice, steak, or whatever you happened to be having for a meal.
Hopefully, you're not paying to watch it.
It's reasonably well animated, which, at this point, probably doesn't
mean much, other than indicating how Japanese anime industry is getting
used to the cell-less animation techniques. The show has a lot of
similarities to Marmalade Boy, which is to be expected since it was
written by the same person. But Marmalade Boy had a lot of real-life
relevance. Ultra Maniac does not.
Also, I think my trauma from Love Hina is worse than I thought.
Remember how I said I am sick of Naru-like voice used in Matantei Loki
Ragnarok? Same thing here, too.
Image1: There are a lot of these slightly-SD moments.
Image2: And a cute talking cat that can turn himself into a cute boy.
Must be a shoujo thing, I guess.
Image3: For some reason, Tennis _has_ to be part of this kind of
shoujo anime.
