Normally overscan isn't a big deal, but because this is in letterbox
format, anything that reduces the available vertical resolution is bad.
Normally 720x360 letterbox is turned into 700x340 worth of information.
That's 20 vertical lines lost! Actually, on this particular DVD, it's
more like 10 lines, because half of them doesn't have any information
to begin with!
Comments:
Where the HECK did all the detail go!? This stupid DVD barely has
700x170 @30 frames per second worth of information! I don't think
I've EVER seen a worse DVD in my entire life of collecting DVDs. It's
letterboxed, has excessive overscan area, and worst of all, only half
of the fields has any useful information at all!
Actual concert appears to be damn fun, though. I sure wish I could be
sure about that. Being able to see it at a reasonable resolution
would have been really helpful.
So, who thinks this was just a technical blunder? Any conspiracy
theories out there?

As soon as I saw this first scene of the disc 2, my blood pressure shot up.
Lossless PNG format. Odd field only version looks just as good, if not better, than the original! There's absolutely no useful information in the even fields, as can be seen in the even field only version.
