Normally overscan isn't a big deal, but because this is in letterbox
format, anything that reduces the available vertical resolution is bad.
Normally 720x360 letterbox is turned into 700x340 worth of information.
That's 20 vertical lines lost! That's more than 5%!!!
Comments:
After watching this first disc, I was thinking, "hey, this isn't that
much better than the AX 2007 version...." Sure, it's got everyone,
nobody had to share microphones, and the monitors weren't echoing like
mad, but given the homeland advantage, I expected a lot more.
Okay okay, it wasn't that bad on a flat scale, but I'm pretty sure I'm
not the only one who expected a lot more from this. Even the audience
sounded pretty disappointed with the skit.
Little did I know of the horror that was waiting for me in the form of
the second disc....
Oh, and I'm not going to talk about the text on Aya-chan's pink shirt.
