Unfortunately for me, I've already read the original stories for these two episodes. For this kind of detective story, knowing the story really kills the impact. Anime version of the story is slightly different, but the main punch line is the same. If anything, it's fairly severely compressed, so I'm not very impressed with how it turned out.
At the end, Haruhi points out all the stuff that was inconsistent, and Kyon utters how he's the one who figured it out. It's true. Kyon is the one who figured out what was going on in the novel. In a way, though, I felt that it was strange Haruhi wasn't as effective at figuring things out.
Whatever the case, stories like these aren't good for repeat viewing (or reading). Having Kyon's cute little sister in the story helps a bit, though.
Note that CD (KABA-1506-CD) is listed separately.
Oh, and I got sticker set #25 with this one.
