It may seem that my site is becoming less and less generalized and instead turning into some kind of a Yukarin fan site. That is NOT my intent. It's just that, well, I got a bunch of DVDs related to her recently. Not buying any more anime DVDs also exaggerates the shift in focus.

Anywho, this is her second DVD. I guess it should be classified as an "idol DVD." Majority of the content is from her first real live, though.

Short footages from her 5th single, "Nemurenu Yoru ni Tsukamaete," release event is highly entertaining. I wish there were more of it. Come to think of it, it's a huge stage for such an event. With so many diehard fans, most of whom apparently realistic enough to not consider marrying her, it was only natural for her to get her full live soon after that.

I noticed I'm familiar with many of the band members. I've seen some of them in Momoi's live or Shintani Ryouko's live. It's work, after all. Just being realistic.

I spot-checked audio for "kirara jikan ryokou" PV and her first live in Zepp Tokyo. PV audio is okay. Not great, but okay. Live audio appears to be recorded or mastered using 44.1kHz equipment, so even though the DVD's LPCM is 48kHz, it cuts off below 22kHz. However, it's not messed around with, so it's very good otherwise. Obviously, its quality is limited to what can be achieved from a live recording, but then these days, they bring down the quality of studio recorded masters in other ways, so whatever. In the end, what sounds good sounds good, and vice versa.
