This live was recorded some 10 months later, therefore more recently, than the Cover Best live, yet it is technically inferior in all ways. The video is overexposed with excessive contrast enhancements, and the sound is, weird. It's not any worse than the other DVD in terms of dynamic range, but there's this weird distortion in the vocals, especially during loud passages. I don't know exactly what it is, but it sure is annoying.
Also, both the DVD version and the MP3 version of the audio have much narrower frequency response curve than the files from the Cover Best set. MP3's on this set is also 44.1kHz instead of 48kHz, with low-pass filter at mere 15kHz.
And finally, I don't have much interest in "soundicians." That means, that whole MISSILE CHEWBACCA thing wasn't interesting to me at all. In fact, I fast-forwarded through most of that. And I don't like their remixes.
I'd hate to do this, but frankly, something like Yukarin's "Love Live Chelsea Girl," at mere Y5,800, is a lot better deal than this, especially with its excellent Dolby Digital sound track. Her "Sincerely Dears" best album with a DVD and a photobook, at mere Y3,500, and heavily discounted at less than Y2,800, is one heck of a lot better deal, too. Obviously, the market size is different, but it almost feels like an extortion, or an exploitation of fans, given its lack of technical quality. But that's just my opinion.

Reflective white is hard to expose right, but looking at how unnecessarily bright the background is, I'd say this is simply overexposed.
This one is okay because full scene metering is to be expected for the wide angle shot.
Even then, this one is probably overexposed. There are so many clipped (255) red-channel pixels.
