At first, I thought it didn't sound as harsh as her previous albums. Maybe they finally figured it out, was my first thought, immediately followed by, "yeah, right!"
Oh, they applied large amount of dynamic range compression, alright. However, it appears that they applied some smoothing filter afterwards, or not. I'm not sure about the event past the DRC. All I know is that it sounded extra laid back, but without any resolution.
Songs are fine, I guess. Man, am I losing interest or what?
