This is NOT a major label release, so I took a chance. Strictly regarding sound quality, some tracks are just as bad as the rest of the junk major labels are pumping out while others are better. Of course, major labels occasionally produce quality stuff, too, possibly by mistake on their part. In the end, the fact that this wasn't released through a major label made no difference.
I'd pick out tracks 5, 7, and 12 as being decent, again in terms of sound quality. Regardless of which track, just looking at the waveforms makes it obvious that they're doing it intentionally. It's masterfully (*cringe*) "engineered" to sound as loud as possible, without distorting, while trying to squeeze the most out of the dynamic range given the loudness treatment. At least it doesn't distort. What, me, positive? Nah.
If it came out good, I'd have flown to Japan to see her at her in-store mini live, but it's not good enough for that.
Music itself? Urr, I think it's fine.
Booklet has a lot of nice photos, though.
