Some are shot at 60 fields per second and then badly pre-deinteraced
to 30 frames per second. Some are shot as 24 frames per second with
some kind of 3:2 pulldown variation.
Comments:
First thing we all ought to be asking is why I even bothered to buy
this. I certainly asked it myself. I couldn't really answer myself
then and I won't try. Let's just leave it as "whim" and move on.
First music video is badly mangled using some kind of crappy (bob?)
deinterlacing algorithm. Most, but not all, of the rest are shot at
24 frames per second film with some kind of 3:2 pulldown variation. I
don't care enough to analyze it, but dscaler manages to pick out the
pattern and reconstruct the original frames, so I won't complain.
Horie-san doesn't look very natural when the camera is rolling for the
real thing. She's far cuter and interesting in the making-of portions
of the DVD. She's actually kind of wacky, and maybe even a bit nerdy?
One last thing. First pressing comes with a CD single of Horie-san's
own music creation. It's listed separately with catalogue number:
8SSX-10035.
Image1: Look at any diagonal lines. Another video "engineer" needs to
get fired.
Image2: Can you find Horie-san in this frame? There's also another
kid in the frame.
Image3: This one has an excellent video quality.
Image4: Neat room lighting, don't you think?
