Comments:

First, a comment about the English title. It says, "The Adventure over Yui Horie," as can be seen in the first image. It's a literal translation, which doesn't work well. It would have made more sense to use "of" instead of "over." But we're all used to minor Engurishi issues by now, so let's move on.

I now own quite a few live DVDs and yet this one is the first one with an associated story to it. It's based on "Alice in Wonderland" and the concert itself is used to tell an adventure story involving a huge ring that Yui-chan is to deliver to the king. An evil character in black cape steals it and she goes through different stages to get it back. It's not much of a story, but it does add some entertainment value to the concert. And any added value is a good thing, especially for Yui-chan's concert....

Frankly, she doesn't have that many great songs under her disposal. She has a few very nice ones, but that's not enough for a full concert. Not only that, many of her songs and her singing style aren't particularly well suited for live concerts. The fact that she doesn't have a live band also reduces the impact. In the beginning of the concert, it's pretty obvious that she's completely occupied with doing her job that she doesn't have any room to enjoy the concert. It gets much better as the concert progresses, though.

Still, it's a well planned concert and I can tell a lot of good effort went into making it happen. Commentaries are informative, although not particularly entertaining, at least for the main concert ones. The ones for the making-of features may be more entertaining, but I haven't had the chance to listen to them yet.

In the end, I only have one real complaint. Some of the costumes, particularly the bear ones, were terrible. I know they could've done much better because I've seen much better costumes used in Tamura Yukari's concerts.

Images (move cursor over each image to see short comment):

DVD art follows Alice in Wonderland theme. Dictionary portion is really well thought out. It's much more entertaining than regular inserts.

Center is a real screen, but the ones on the sides are LED light arrays, functioning as low resolution screens.

You can see the difference between LED light arrays on the sides and a real screen in the middle.
