Animephile Rating: Nagato Yuki's song? Nah.

Before anything else, I must say something about the title. I heard this song many times on various internet radios, and every time they'd say the title, I didn't get it. Say what? "san kuchi ari?" Even looking at the kana title on the CD didn't really help me. Only after I typed it into a dictionary did I finally get it. Oh, sanctuary! It's one of the most twisted pronunciations I've ever heard.

Anyway, Minori's singing is very different from her talking. She sounds a lot more serious when she sings. In that sense, she's closer to Nagato Yuki than Chihara Minori when she sings. Obviously, she was singing songs before Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu became an anime, so the link isn't particularly meaningful, but even the cover song feels well suited to Nagato Yuki's character, so I get tempted to link this CD to Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu. But in the end, the lyrics don't have anything to do with the anime, so it really should be considered a stand-alone piece.

Her singing isn't very fancy. It's just clean and clear. I like that. But the songs feel too synthetic somehow. They're not bad, though.

First-pressing comes in a sleeve case with a slightly different picture than the booklet cover picture on it.
