Anybody surprised I bought this? But then who knows me, anyway?
Radio School Days (lantis-net.com and also onsen.ag) is one of my current favorite internet radios. The personalities, Kawaragi Shiho and Okajima Tae, are just so naturally interesting, I wanted to know more about the characters they play, Saionji Sekai and Katsura Kotonoha. However, I really didn't feel like picking up the anime version. I don't know. I might consider R3 at some point, but buying R2 feels out of line for this kind of series, at least for me.
The story is almost too basic. There's the strangely popular boy (Itou Makoto) who is of course unaware of his own popularity, his classmate (Sekai), and his crush (Kotonoha). And believe or not, this "nothing special" story is really refreshing to me. I think it's because there're too many artificially strange things in the world these days. People get used to eating all kinds of exotic sweets that they forget how good a simple apple can be. Well, I'm not the type to forget that, but it's just an analogy.
It's a simple and cute entertainment that works for me.
