Animephile Rating: F (4.0)
- Video Scan Type : interlaced-OAV (-3.5) -
dTV can detect correct 3:2 pulldown for the most part!
- Aspect Handling : standard (-0.0)
- Compression : -1.0 -
I'm not sure if it's the compression artifact or just composite artifacts, but
then, I have to subtract points somewhere.
- Video Separation : -1.5 -
This DVD is, for sure, made from LD composite master. I own Phase-0IV and
Phase-0V on LDs and they're more or less exactly the same. LDs actually look
better because it didn't go through compression stage.
- Scene Transition : -0.0
- Calibration : -0.0
Comments:
Old OAV series that was one of the first anime that really got me interested.
At Y4,800 for 3 episodes, it's a deal! Too bad it's not better quality.
Image1 shows general video quality. If you know what kind of artifacts can be
caused by composite source (even when it's high quality), you'll see them
here.
Image2 shows three young characters of the show. Just imagine what
Yoshimi-chan is feeling there.
