Animephile Rating: saa...

You know? If you're Hoshino Ruri fan, you already have this CD, so why bother reading this? If you're not Hoshino Ruri fan, you're not a real anime-fan, so why bother reading this?
Okay, I'll be nice.
Minami-san's voice is really strange to me. It has that cloudy feel to it and yet it's clear. She's not a bad singer, meaning, she can keep pitch and hold a tone well (unlike Mitsuishi-san, for example -- sorry, but it's true), so it's a plus. On the other hand, her style is... well, she doesn't seem to have one. Then again, that's how Ruri-chan is, so that's fine. Anyway, this CD has a newly recorded version of the famous "anata no ichiban ni naritai" from that contest episode. It's MUCH better (but not as special). I like listening to it, so I actually listened to the lyric this time. The concept described by the lyric is really deep. It seems that Ruri-chan is the only one among Akito's "friends (including Akito himself)" that act like a grown-up. Strange, isn't it? Ruri-chan version of many of the Nadesico songs are pretty good except for the TV-series OP. That song just isn't for Ruri-chan style singing.
BTW, I got the first pressing used. Good deal.
denshi no yousei.... It's got a nice ring to it.... I like it.
