I've finally upgraded my main workstation, and so my really really old registered copy of WinDVD (Version 2) no longers works properly. It apparently doesn't like multiple cores/processors. I'm too poor to buy a new version, so I'm now using VLC, and VLC dumps prescaled images. I don't really care any more, so all the screen caps are now in proper aspect ratio.
Sound quality is not as good as that from the 2007 live DVD, but it's still better than other live DVDs I have. I'm not sure if I should be happy about that or not. After all, worse than before indicates a negative trend. Still, I had no trouble pumping up the volume without getting annoyed, whereas trying that with another live DVD was futile to my sanity, so maybe I'm just being too picky.
Frankly, Suara wasn't in her best condition for this live, so one should keep his expectation reasonable. Having said that, there's no comparison between Suara's live and Momoi's live when it comes to entertainment value. Video rarely even shows the audience in the Suara live, and why should they? They're boring! With Suara not in her best condition, even the music portion gets a few points knocked off. Well, I still needed to buy this, since it was the first ever event I attended in Japan. Heck, it was the first time I visited Japan.
One annoying thing about the audio is that they put the second guitar (electric mostly) on the left side, even though the player is physically on the right side. He was on the left side for the AquaPlus Live+Festa, so maybe the audio mixer just mixed them all the same. Can we be a little more professional, please?
I'm being applauded for coming from so far away {^^;;} Little do they know, there's someone from New York next to me. The one from Delaware doesn't count because she's not a Suara fan :P
I'm pretty sure that's me. LED stick doesn't have a consistent brightness because the base and the reflected point on the top are brighter than the center. Given what I remember, this is the best I could come up with.
