Tracks 6 to 9, back-to-back, form a medley.
Maybe I'm way off base here, but I get a sad feeling about this CD. To put it bluntly, it feels like she "sold herself out" by making this CD. She has a unique musical style and, not only do I like her songs, I also respect her style. If it weren't for the misguided attempt at copy protection, both of her CDs I have would have gotten at least 'B' grades and I would have bought more of her CDs.
Sudden release of a CD like this somehow feels like an attempt at compensating for lack of sales of her normal albums. Note that if someone like Okui Masami, who has always been deeply involved in the AniSong genre, releases a CD like this, it's a special treat. Come to think of it, I can only think of one CD like that (Masami Kobushi - KICS-1017), which had an extremely limited availability until it got re-released couple of years later.
Don't get me wrong. I like these songs and I think she did a pretty good job at arranging them. And if the fact that this CD isn't copy-protected is an indication, maybe she just needed a little boost. It looks like there's going to be a series of these CDs, so I guess I'll keep buying.
