This is an unusual DVD. What's a DVD blog? Actually, majority of the videos are music clips, anyway. And as far as I can tell, most of the music clips are not new. To their credit, I actually like a lot of their music clips, and I'm someone who doesn't normally care for music videos. Victor has some good video artist(s).
The most puzzling thing to me is why they had to go to New York for this. Associating it with 9/11 is absurd, in my opinion, so I'm not going to think in that direction. So then what's so special about N.Y.? Whatever the reason, I got a postcard from Aa (sent from N.Y.), so I shouldn't complain too much.
As for audio quality, I only checked one track (hikari no yukue) and it's basically the same as the CD's PCM track. Even the frequency response stops below 22kHz even though DVD's PCM track is 48kHz (can theoretically represent upto 24kHz), so it's obviously not from high fidelity master.
I tried to grab screenshots with both Aa and Takumi in them. I really liked Takumi's compositions, along with Aa's singing. I'm not sure where "Savage Genius" will go without the "Genius." Just so there's no misunderstanding, Aa was the one who said she is the savage part and Takumi is the genius part. This was at the Anime-Expo 2007 panel.
I guess I'll just have to wait and see.
