It's actually kind of nice. Video goes well with the music, and everyone seems to be having fun. But I highly doubt this will get much play time. Once is interesting, twice is okay, and then I don't have time for it.
Another saving grace of the DVD is that the audio quality is slightly better than the CD version. It's not as drastic as Yukarin's Bambi-no Bambi-na CD vs DVD case, but it's still something. In the end, even the DVD version would only barely manage 3 stars.
CD audio literally clips, as can be seen in the last image below. DVD version is normalized to -3dB (assuming clipping), but since there's room above -3dB point, it manages to avoid clipping. So in the end, the whole thing looks like it's normalized to -2dB or something like that. Note that DVD version has a few more dots because it has faster sampling rate (48kHz vs 44.1kHz).
