I always thought that Mamotte Shugogetten (TV) was too childish, so I didn't
buy it. I heard that the OVA was closer to the original manga, so I thought
about it, but never actually managed to buy it because it was way too
expensive. I got a chance to buy a used set, so I went for it. OVA is
definitely more thoughtful than the TV series and some of the episodes are
quite memorable.
Unfortunately, these (except disc 5) have taken the place of the worst
Region 2 anime DVD I've ever seen!
At this kind of price, I absolutely do not recommend buying these to anyone!
Disc 5 is excepted. Go get the fansub for the first 4. I'm serious. Toei
doesn't deserve your money for these. Do buy the 5th DVD, though.
