Ryuutarou's ordeals seem so unrealistic. I say this again and again, but really, the art work is the only saving grace for this series. I wouldn't even bother reading them if it weren't for the wonderful art. Me not nice? Hell no. I tell it as I see it. I've gotten to know quite a bit about the "Mahoutsukai ni Taisetsu na Koto" universe, and as mean as it may sound, I never thought of Yamada-sensei as a good writer. I'm sure I'm going to repeat all this when I list the next volume, so I'll leave it at that for now.
This volume's story is basically, 1) the awkward couple becomes a couple, sort of officially, and 2) Ryuutarou's (unrealistic) past continues to haunt him. Okay, maybe it's not his past that's unrealistic, but rather the way he and the world around him are taking it.
