That's how I have to think of this in order not to feel bad about
purchasing it.
Gainax used to be about quality and care that goes into their
animation and story line. Some may be a bit whacked out, but the
quality was still there. Ever since the original Mahoromatic ended
and the second season (motto utsukushii mono) began, that quality was
gone. If you can't see how slappy the animation for this TV special
is, well, there's no point in talking about this.
Starting yesterday, Gainax was put on my blacklist along with GONZO.
That means, I will no longer buy any animation that was solely or
mostly created by either of these companies. As far as I'm concerned,
Gainax died when the original Mahoromatic ended.
