Animation quality went down a bit here. It's to be expected from a TV
series like this, I guess. I just LOVED the scene where Mahoro was
holding on to Suguru. It was beautiful. One more DVD left.
(Un)fortunately, Gainax is going to make another season of
Mahoromatic, so I guess we'll see how it goes. Yamaga-san from Gainax
confirmed that this will be the last cell-based animation from
Gainax. I was devastated. I'm going to treasure this series! It is
the first and the last 16:9 anamorphic cell animation from Gainax. I
picked up TWO copies of the "Groundwork of Mahoromatic Vol.1" at
Fanimecon. They're SIGNED by Yamaga-san and Akai-san. No way I could
pass that chance.
