I ended up buying more Nakajima Megumi CDs after all.
Here's the problem. Victor's mastering is like Bose marketing. It takes a bit longer to get on my nerves, but when it does, it really gets on my nerves. They tweak the sound too much. It's an engineered sound. Sure, it's better than outright distortion, but why should I settle for anything less than quality mastering? I'm paying for this crap, you know.
I have preordered another single, and I don't cancel stuff, so I'll get that, but looks like I'm done with Victor, too. It's amazing how much money I can save when I stop buying stuff! I'll try to attend live concerts with that money. Most of that money ends up going to airlines and hotels, but I don't have any other choice, do I? Actually, with the ridiculously pointless airline security procedures, I don't want to fly, either, so I won't be attending too many live concerts, after all.
