Has ghosting that doesn't happen on R1. They must have used an impedence
unmatched cable between some mastering equipments somewhere. I suppose edge
enhancement could have caused something like this, too.
Comments:
Even though you'll notice a huge difference between R1 and R2 screen
capture below, I must tell you that in real life, it's not that
drastic. Yes, R2 is sharper and has more contrast, but R1 feels more
film-like and doesn't have the ghosting. I think they did a great job
with the R1 disc. Note that Japanese NTSC standard calls for 0 IRE
black so the entire picture will be slightly darker.
