Anyway, as wacky as Daichi is (I know. I was basically following him
around at Fanime2003), he is pretty serious about anime production.
Interview of him on this DVD is insightful. Don't let his constant
smiles deceive you.
Here're some wacky screenshots.
Image1: Kuromi-chan got so much cuter since the original OVA ;^)
Image2: enpitsu (pencil) is not cigarette. Is it really that hard to
quit smoking? I suppose it could be if you were an animator. Still,
my Mom was able to quit cold turkey after multiple decades of it, so I
am unwilling to hear any excuses.
Image3: What's green onion doing there!?
Image4/5: I actually see that kind of difference in real production
work! No wonder I've been buying less and less anime lately.
Image6/7/8: Three different types of anime they were producing at the
same time. Crazy, I tell ya.
Image9: Look, it's Yasuhara-san and Daichi!
Image10: This is the full version of the main menu. It's actually
kind of neat. It starts out at the bottom and then pans up.
