Comments:
I used "guilty pleasure" to describe "Hanaukyou Maid Tai" and I'll have to say
that those two words fit this series as well. Original Koutetsu Tenshi Kurumi
TV-series was at least more clever and less stupid. This one is just as
stupid as the first NukuNuku TV-series. In fact, it's almost like NukuNuku
TV-series. The only redeeming quality is Kuwashima Houko doing the voice
(again) for Kurumi's Master, Nako (unusual name, actually). She's a she this
time, though. That's good. I like her sweet voice. Oh, and my current
curiosity of life, Tanaka Rie, is doing the voice for Saki, again.
Oh, one more thing. In original Kurumi, they introduced a new phrase,
"kyuin-" which Kurumi says whenever she's happy. Well, we've got a new one.
It's "hani hani" used by Nako. Its meaning is (as if these words actually had
a meaning) kind of a combination of "hanyan" and "hoe" that Sakura (Card
Captor Sakura) uses. Of course, NONE of these are real words, so the fact
that I'm trying to describe the meaning of one made-up word using two other
made-up words is pretty strange at best.
To clarify, I said "NukuNuku TV-series" was stupid, not the original OVA
series. Just making sure you don't misunderstand.
Image1: Image of Nako. It's flawless, ain't it? Computer graphics don't feel
very lively, though. I feel that the character designs for Kurumi 2-shiki is
a little better than the ones for Hanaukyou Maid Tai. Neither is all that
lively, though.
Image2: Just a screenshot from the opening sequence. Note the mis-spelling
of "pretty."
