Just like the original TV series, quality isn't that great, but I
didn't bother grading it harshly.
Kodomo no Omocha is the longest series I own in its entirety at 102
half-hour episodes. To be honest, I'm not particularly into really
long series because in most cases, long series are low-budget shows
especially if they're continually released TV series. Kodomo no
Omocha was one of those mainstream titles, but I find it far better
than other mainstream titles like Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh. Its dramatic
moments have real-life meaning to them unlike in those other shows.
Being such a long series, it does suffer quite a bit from repeated
animation and low frame counts, but I haven't noticed too much
sloppiness. It also keeps the insane amount of energy fairly well
throughout the entire 102 episodes. It certainly has a lot of ups and
downs, but overall, I find it worthwhile, especially considering the
price. My original set was individual release, but they were used
copies, so they didn't cost too much, either. These Lucky Price Boxes
are great deals.
Yeah, I know this review is really sloppy, but I'm tired. It took me extremely long time to get through all these episodes. See why I tend to not buy long series?
