All of the Key the Metal Idol Radio Dramas are of the serious type. At
least, they're not stand-alone stories. If you loved Key OAV, you
should have the radio dramas to complete the story. This CD is about
how Sakura and Key met and became friends in school before Sakura went
off to Tokyo. It's slightly on the hard-to-understand scale, but
nothing to prevent me from figuring out what's going on.
There is something I never liked about many Key reviews I read on the
internet sites. They don't seem to understand that the Key isn't just
about robots. It's about Idols. What it means to be an idol, whether
it be nationally known pop-singer or small town performer. Idol isn't
made up by producers. A true idol is made up by the fans. The way a
fan feels about idol is not at all the same as love (in the dating
type use) for someone. If it is, that fan is really misguided. I
don't love Hayashibara-san.
Oh, and people comparing it to Pinocchio should just not write reviews
until they watched the whole thing. Sheesh!
