There are quite a bit of "fan service" moments. Some of them are
tasteful, while others are meaningless. CD Drama's story wasn't as
complete, but it wasn't all that drastically different, either, so
reading the manga didn't impress me like when I read Pita-Ten manga.
Then again, there isn't anything really drastic in the whole thing to
begin with. In general, it's a feel-good kind of story with lots of
cute characters and cool mechas. There's something about the work
that makes it comparible to classic works of similar themes, too.
Mamet is really cute, in a different kind of way than other generally
cute characters. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it might have
something to do with the fact that she's not trying to be cute (most
other cute characters), nor is she trying not to be cute (Hoshino
Ruri?). I don't know.
It looks like it's going to be animated. I might buy it if I have
nothing else to buy. Oh, and the vocal cast better not change too
much. By the way, after reading the manga, I'm not so sure about
Asakawa-san doing Wooty anymore. I think Wooty is too uncute to be
voiced by Asakawa-san. I hope Nana-chan and Ai-chan voice Liza and
Mill again, though.
