Now, this is what I call a niche anime. Series like "With You," "Mizuiro," and that dreadful "Memories Off OVA" are all niche anime. There are horrible ones, like "Memories Off," but overall, I've had fairly good luck with them, and I noticed Non-chan commenting on this series, so after reading a few reviews on Amazon.co.jp, I decided to go for it. It's not like there's anything worth buying among the mainstream releases anyway.

First thing I noticed is the character design. It's very close to that of Mizuiro. Of course! They are both done by the same character designer. It's slightly stereotypical (cute game design), but I like it just fine. Music isn't very good, though, especially compared to that of Mizuiro. As for the most important part, the animation quality, it's pretty good. Except for a few action scenes, which are done very well, most of the simple scenes have unusually low frame rates. In fact, those simpler sections suffer more from unnatural movements than the hard-to-animate scenes. I don't care that much about frame rate because that's not what anime is about. Thankfully, individual frames are fairly well drawn.

Image1: First pressing box and the keepcase.
Image2: VERY nice frame.
Image3: Character on the left (Shiina Mayumi) is voiced by Kuwashima Houko, and the character on the right (Sudou Akiho) is voiced by Chiba Saeko. Oh, the guy character? Who cares? ;^)
Image4: They're "playing" some kind of "game." Nicely blended.
Image5: Tree is nicely done, but the building is just so so.
