The manga really grew on me. In fact, I feel kind of awkward about what I wrote on the manga listings before. On the other hand, CD dramas continue failing to impress me. I have to wonder why I keep buying them.
It's almost strange because, except for Noto Mamiko, everyone else fits their roles perfectly. Orikasa Fumiko is really impressive as Miu, and Nabatame Hitomi is such a perfect fit as Nobue, it's scary. Kawasumi Ayako and Chiba Saeko are also super cute as their respective roles. All this and yet it fails to be cute or funny.
I blame the script writers for this. Why don't they dramatize that door-to-door salesman episode from manga volume 4 or something? How about a story that actually goes somewhere? It's hard to make up a good story while keeping everyone in Chika's room, especially without pictures. I'm sure it's possible, but since it's hard, and since it apparently hasn't been happening, why not do something totally different?
On a positive note, since the stories don't really go anywhere, it's not too disturbing to listen to any one of the tracks independently. It's bound to happen with 13,815 tracks on my playlist as of this writing. Mind you, I bought all of them.
Hey, that's mean. But Miu gets her own page, so it's okay. Mischief all the way!
