I got hooked on the manga after learning about the series through the monthly internet radio on lantis-net.com. I don't really follow lantis-net radios anymore because they switched over to Microsoft DRM ridden format recently.
Obviously, I didn't expect Kyo-Ani level animation, and I didn't get that, but since it's a 4-coma manga turned into an anime, simplitic (and abstract) backgrounds work well, as long as the character drawings are good. And it is pretty good. I needed a nice and warm anime anyway, so this series came along at the right time.
Commentary features just about everyone, including Ume-sensei (episode 2). The best part about the commentary was when they realized Sae and Hiro are like husband and wife, with Yuno as their child and Miyako as... their pet. What a revelation! Of course, they're all girls.
First pressing comes with a lot of neat stuff. There're quite a few postcards in there, too. No pictures of them, though. Get your own!
