This is a web-comic that became popular enough to be published on paper. It contains first 7 chapters. I didn't know anything about the web comic, but after reading this, I went to the site to find four more chapters (8-11). Unfortunately, according to a note on the site, it's on hiatus due to the author taking on a real job. The note is dated 2006-08-11, and it promises that the story will continue, so I'm not worried. After all, the story starts out 10 years later and then goes back to start from the beginning(?) again and it's far from getting back through the 10 years.
It's a cute little story following a "hanemusu" named Ruri. "Hanemusu" probably comes from "hane" and "musume," as in winged girl (daughter). It's a strange world in which human-looking characters live with rabbit-looking characters. A lot of things aren't explained, such as why Professor Yoshida sent Ruri to Mayumi (guy's name, by the way), what country/world "queen" is the queen of, and what/who Luca really is. Luca is a talking cat that can transform into human form, by the way. Strangely, though, the story is written such a way that none of these things really matter. What I mean by that is that, somehow, I'm not bothered by not knowing the details.
