This is a short "visual novel" that describes one particular day of Yuuichi and Rika _after_ they leave the hospital. That means, it's to be read after the main novels. Unfortunately, I read it first because it was short and easier to read. Note that it's not a manga. It's a novel, but with very few words and large number of full color illustrations (every other page).
If the writing style used in this book is the same as the one used for the main novel, I should've started reading the novel a long time ago! It's very easy to follow. Unfortunately, my Haruhi novels are arriving soon, so I'm going to be busy reading those first. Maybe those will turn out to be too hard for me....
