Animephile Rating: A little too late?

Megumi fans, stop reading!

If you're a regular at my site, you know I collect her songs. I don't have a complete collection, but I think I've done a pretty good job. But come on. She hasn't released a CD for how many years? What's up with the sudden come back? I read in a book (will list it eventually) that a famous musician/artist said that fans don't want to see their idol at the top of a mountain waving at them. They want him/her to keep going higher. I respectively disagree. Nobody can escape the flow of time, and so at some point, I'd rather see them reach the top of a mountain and happily settle in at a house there or something like that. I think voice acting is different in that they can continue to participate sporadically, but releasing a CD is a different story. In fact, she's releasing a full-size album soon. I thought about it for a while and then decided not to order it.

Music on this isn't bad or anything like that. For some reason, though, it's not very appealing to me. The word that popped into my head was "stigma." Do you know that the music and the lyrics for this CD were created by the late Okazaki Ritsuko?

Anyway, the anime for which these songs are used as the main theme songs, seems to be a cute variety. I imagine UFO Table did (will do) a good job animating it. For some reason, though I decided to skip it, too. I seem to be skipping a lot of stuff lately. It happens.
