A while back, I announced that I cancelled "Ninin ga Shinobu-den" DVD 1 order. In that announcement, I also asked for recommendations. I know I can't say that a good recent series doesn't exist just because I don't know of one. After all, I didn't know about "Mugen no Ryvius" until the whole thing was released on DVD. Heck, I didn't know anything about "Seikai no Monshou" until it was actually released in R1 and I got to see one episode at a local anime club.

I got one recommendation email from SilverStar. Thank you, THANK YOU!

Just as the show reveals little bit of the truth at a time, I will try to describe the series slowly with the help of screen shots. Actually, I won't really tell you much about the series. Even so, I hope I can convince my readers to go out and purchase this series.

Image1: Very beginning of the opening sequence. Believe or not, the mood of this scene describes the show very well. Just look up at the sky. Isn't it beautiful?
Image2: How about this one? Isn't that a beautiful shot?
Image3: One more.
Image4: What a beautiful animation! By the way, the one sitting closest to and looking away from the "camera" is one of the main characters, Murata Hajime.
Image5: On the left is Hajime's mother, Kyouko, voiced by Hidaka Noriko. Ahh, it's been a while since she's played a major role. On the right is Hajime's sister, Futaba, voiced by Kugimiya Rie. To put it simply, Futaba is THE BEST role Kugimiya-san has ever played _and_ this whole thing is worth buying even if you were doing it solely to see her!

Obviously, I haven't really told you anything about the show, but if you dare call yourself an anime fan, you should have already noticed the amazing quality of the animation. And I'm telling you that the quality does not decrease through the whole series. That alone would be good enough reason for some to buy this whole thing. Yes, there are many reasons that would be enough, individually, to recommend buying this series. By the way, this is cell and film animation (with CG help, of course). I have no doubt about it. I'd say that it's similar in animation quality as Figure 17.
