Comments:
Gainax really should get a lesson from Studio Pierrot about master
tape care. Despite all the digital enhancements they performed (or
partly even DUE to the enhancements they performed), it doesn't have
the kind of impressiveness that Fancy Lala DVD Boxset release had.
Doesn't really matter that much to me, though. Here's the thing.
Even though it has very much above average animation, interesting
characters, and historic fan base, the best word I can think of to
describe Evangelion is "irrelevant." That's right. It's very much
irrelevant to me. Believe me, I watched it more than once in my otaku
years and read quite a bit of different opinions about it. In the
end, it's just something that helped bring Anno back to some kind of a
reasonable path. Since it's his life and not mine, the show is
irrelevant to me.
Anyhow, this DVD is worth it just for the 5.1ch full-length OP/ED
cuts. At Y1,500, who's complaining?

line, I believe, is on the source of this video.
