Eien no Nohara 1

Animephile Rating: C

I bought these LONG time ago (April 2004), but only got to listening to them all recently. Despite it featuring Hiramatsu Akiko, Mizuki Nana, and Horie Yui, I can't say I enjoyed it all that much. Why? Because it's about relationships, particularly realistic ones. There are unlimited number of ways to approach relationships, and even the original author of this story seems to agree with that. The problem is that it seems to be only about the traditional relationships. For example, marriages for the sake of marriage, having children, etc. don't interest me at all.

When it comes down to it, something that is too real has very little entertainment value. Even a little twist, utilized well, can make a world of difference, but I didn't feel any of that in these stories.
