I ordered the first disc because Shinji at AmoTokyo recommended highly.
Later, I found out that the series is influenced by some cult that the
director is part of. That lowered my expectations. Let's face it. I don't
like any shows that twist the facts just so that it appeals to the impressionable
kids; therefore, I'm not so fond of Arjuna. However, it is a rare treat to
see such a wonderful anamorphic widescreen animation with Dolby Digital 5.1ch
sound. DVD itself isn't progressive, but dScaler does practically perfect job
with 3:2 pulldown detection. Add the great music by Kanno-san to the great
animation and this is definitely worth the money. I'm sure I'll find friends
who will dig this.
