If you don't know "Doubutsu no Mori" game, you're obviously not a seiyuu otaku. Many a seiyuu used to talk about it all the time. Unfortunately, I don't play games, so I knew very little about it. I actually considered picking up a DS for it, but that felt like selling out, so I didn't. Picking up this movie is probably going to be as close as I get to "Doubutsu no Mori" franchise.
Ai moves to the Doubutsu village, makes friends, has adventures, and so on. It's basically a nice children's anime. It's colorful, cute, simple, and lightly heartwarming. I don't have any real complaints, but then I wouldn't call it a masterpiece, either.
DVD came with a little pouch (made in China, thank you very much). I have no idea what to do with it.
Bu-ke, voiced by Fukuen Misato. I hear her voice every week (Smile-Gang), yet I think this might have been the first time I heard her voice as a character.
Kanai Mika (left) and Yamaguchi Kappei (right) still at it. Of course, it didn't take long at all for me to figure out their voices.
