This is a new series by the author of "Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou." That's obviously a good enough reason to try it.
Similar to YKK, the story is set in not-so-far-away future, and features some unusual ways people have adapted to live on. The key feature of this series is airplanes. Flying is the only way people can get anywhere in this world because even the closest towns are separated by 60 miles or more. Why don't they just group together? I don't know, but I'd guess that would kill the story.
The story focuses on Isaki, who's just started piloting, and Shiro-san's Piper Super Cub that he borrows to fly around. Kajika is Shiro-san's younger sister.
There're other similarities with YKK, such as mysteriousness surrounding some of the characters, particularly Shiro-san. Everyone seems to know her, and she has an uncanny ability to fly that little Super Cub, even though she doesn't actually pilot it much these days, as she just lets Isaki fly it.
I'm looking forward to future volumes. Actually I already have the second volume since I bought them together. But I'm going to read something else first :P
