Couple of years ago, I had a chance to read the first set of the manga
and I was totally impressed by the art work. I didn't know anything
about the anime version, but when I read that it was coming out on
DVD, I decided to buy it. Unfortunately, the animation quality is not
all that great, so it's not even worth comparing it with the manga.
Part of the problem is due to its age, but there's something more
lacking about it since I didn't feel as bad watching Yamato. Good
news is that it's relatively cheap. I'll probably collect the whole
thing since it's not that expensive.
