Animephile Rating: F (4.0)
- Video Scan Type : interlaced-TV (-2.5) -
It's not exceedingly bad in this regard. Basically, I've seen worse.
- Aspect Handling : standard (-0.0)
- Compression : -0.5 -
I can't quite tell if the compression artifacts are really compression
artifacts or just video separation artifacts. See comments for video
separation.
- Video Separation : -3.0 -
It's so bad (rainbowing and dot-crawling) that I think it even causes
compression artifacts that shouldn't be there. Maybe there are really
compression artifacts. Maybe they're not. As far as I'm concerned, point
deduction will work out either way.

Comments:
I've not seen Region2 Cowboy Bebop DVD. Perhaps one of these days. No matter
what, I can't see it being this bad. Actually, this disc is fine in most
respects. Well, it's not progressive, but then few are. If it weren't for
the rainbowing and dot-crawling, this would be a pretty good disc.
Image 1 shows rainbowing. It's EVERYWHERE!
Image 2 shows a computer generated scene. For a CG, it looks darn fuzzy.
Heck, I've seen cell frames more detailed than this.
