30 frames per second, but almost all frames are off by a field (frame
is made up of fields from different original frames), so almost all
weaved frame during movement will be feathered. Only if they aligned
them properly, the end result could've been progressive with
forced-weave output.

A little minus because the sound is weird. I can't put my finger on
it but the voices somehow do not sound right. On the other hand, a
little plus for not having any edge enhancement. It looks very
natural. Good job, Pioneer USA... except for the field misalignment
stuff. Bad job, Pioneer USA.
Comments:
I'm glad I didn't waste money on R2 for these. Sure Chii's cute, but
animation isn't anything special and as a new series, R1's video is
probably just as good as the R2's. Who knows? R2 might have edge
enhancement (yuck!). Then again, R2's fields might be aligned
better. I don't notice much of anything bad when piped through
FLI2200, so it doesn't matter that much to me.
"Stationery Set" appears to be the same one that was given out as
first-pressing bonus of Japanese Chobits DVD 1 (PIBA-7128). It's
obviously not a high-quality item. I guess I can make use of the
letter-opener, although I prefer ones that are strong enough to
withstand alternate uses, such as person stabbing.
Image1: pantsu pantsu pantsu. Urr, I mean Chii and Sumomo happens
to be static for two or more frames, so there's no feathering, but
the background is continuously moving, so every frame is feathered.
