A lot of the artistic concepts of photography transfers directly to
animation production, and the photo movie illustrates this point well.
Stuff like golden mean, framing and lighting all apply to both art
forms. Not only can Shinkai Makoto artistically see the world, he can
also transfer that view onto images and share them with the audience.
That's an amazing feat.
