30 frames per second computer rendered

It's not quite 16:9, but more of a 7:4, which might just be due to
formatting. It's the VISTA format commonly used in Japan. Having it
anamorphic wouldn't have helped because the rendering was done at low
resolution.

Maybe.

Comments:
This is purely computer graphics based, so I don't consider it as
anime, but I liked it enough to decide on purchasing the older
animated Bonobono DVD as well. I can't even start to describe this
show. I don't think I can. Heck, I won't. I do recommend it,
however.
Very unusual set of voice actors and actresses make up the cast.
There's Yoshida Konami (I haven't been keeping track of her even
though I really liked her as Azusa in Mamono Hunter Yohko), ever so
well known Yamaguchi Kappei (need I give an example?), Kozakura Etsuko
(Ryouooki!), Shimamoto Sumi (Nausicaa!), and Morimoto Leo (Shirotsugh
Lardatto in Wings of Honneamise!). I was especially surprised to hear
Morimoto-san's voice because he doesn't seem to be active in voice
acting. He's really an actor, not a voice actor, no? I know of no
other roles he's done after Wings of Honneamise.
Image: Look at Bonobono's whiskers. You can see the stairstepping due
to low-resolution rendering.
