This volume finishes up with the Hibiki story. Then there's a strange jellyfish story, and then moves onto Mari's first love story. I guess the story was needed to establish Mari as an independent, thinking being. That whole BL thing put me off, though. Animation stops just before this, so from here on, most stories are on the manga only. Well, actually, audio drama went a lot further, so it's not strictly manga only.
By the way, Marie cuts her hair short in this volume.
